Paper 1 is common to all subjects and tests teaching and research aptitude, reasoning and general awareness of higher education.

A simple approach

  1. Read the official syllabus first and list its units.
  2. Start with scoring areas like reasoning, maths and data interpretation — these reward practice.
  3. Study teaching and research aptitude through concepts, not memorised lines.
  4. Take short topic quizzes, then full timed mocks.
  5. Keep an error log and revise it weekly.
