Your raw score depends on the marking scheme in the bulletin for your cycle. Recent bulletins give 2 marks for each correct answer and no negative marking. Unattempted questions score zero.

The formula

Raw score = (correct × marks per correct) − (incorrect × negative mark per wrong).

Example

With 38 correct out of 50 in Paper 1 and no negative marking: 38 × 2 = 76 out of 100.

Things that change your final score

  • Questions dropped after the final answer key may be handled in a special way — read the result notice.
  • Results are published as normalised percentiles when the exam runs in multiple shifts, so raw marks are only a guide.

Use our marks calculator for an estimate. It is not an official result.
